The Challenge
An industry leader in nutrition and health science needed to modernize operations across eight production lines. Their outdated, custom MES system posed challenges such as:
- Limited scalability and functionality
- Increasing maintenance overhead
- Risk of production disruptions during the transition
- Integration complexity across 36 PLCs
The Solution
We deployed a phased MES rollout featuring:
- Two MES instances separating health science and beverage production
- AVEVA System Platform and InTouch visualization for intuitive operator control
- Ten modular MES features, including Recipe Management, Manufacturing Monitoring, and Production Scheduling
- A standardized code base to ensure consistent functionality across all lines
