## Modernizing Legacy MES for a Global Health Science Leader

#### The Challenge

An industry leader in nutrition and health science needed to modernize operations across eight production lines. Their outdated, custom MES system posed challenges such as:

- Limited scalability and functionality
- Increasing maintenance overhead
- Risk of production disruptions during the transition
- Integration complexity across 36 PLCs

#### The Solution

We deployed a **phased MES rollout** featuring:

- **Two MES instances** separating health science and beverage production
- **AVEVA System Platform and InTouch visualization** for intuitive operator control
- **Ten modular MES features**, including Recipe Management, Manufacturing Monitoring, and Production Scheduling
- **A standardized code base** to ensure consistent functionality across all lines
